EVALUATIONS
An accommodation request is only as good as the documentation behind it. These evaluations produce the underlying diagnosis and a report written specifically to meet the standard of the body that will review it.
Accommodation evaluations are conducted at Dr. Jovanovic’s office in Lakewood Ranch, Florida.
CONDITIONS WE EVALUATE
Accommodation evaluations may be appropriate for individuals with ADHD, learning disabilities such as dyslexia, anxiety disorders, and other psychological or neurodevelopmental conditions.
The evaluation focuses on how the condition affects testing, academic performance, or workplace functioning and provides current documentation that may be required when requesting reasonable accommodations.
COLLEGE AND GRADUATE TESTING
Universities, disability services offices, and the organizations that administer standardized admissions tests each require documentation before granting accommodations.
A common problem: a student who received accommodations throughout high school under an IEP or 504 plan finds that documentation is no longer current enough to satisfy a testing agency. A current evaluation resolves that.
WORKPLACE
An employee requesting a reasonable accommodation under the ADA is generally asked by their employer to supply documentation from a qualified provider. This is initiated by the employee, not the employer, and is different from an employer-referred fitness-for-duty evaluation.
BAR EXAM AND PROFESSIONAL LICENSING
Boards of bar examiners and professional licensing bodies set specific requirements for accommodation documentation. They generally expect a current evaluation conducted by a doctoral-level provider, standardized testing rather than self-report alone, and a clear account of functional impairment.
Many applicants discover this after a denial, when the timeline is short. An evaluation conducted with those requirements in view produces a report that addresses them directly.
